The owner, not a sales team

GTA Concrete Guard provides professional concrete crack repair, waterproofing and crack strengthening services across Richmond Hill, Markham, Aurora and Newmarket.

The company is led by Mehrzad Akhlaghi, a civil engineering graduate with extensive construction site experience. Each project is assessed carefully, and the work is carried out with attention to quality and detail.

5-year written warranty against leaks at the repaired crack. New cracks, structural movement and later damage are not covered.

Know your cracks

Straight answers to the questions homeowners ask most.

Why do concrete cracks leak?

Concrete can crack as it cures, as the ground settles, or as temperatures change. When the soil around a foundation becomes saturated, water pressure can push moisture through these openings. Leaks often appear after heavy rain or during the spring thaw.

Warning signs to watch for

Look for water or damp marks along a wall, white mineral deposits, musty smells, peeling paint, or a crack that is getting longer or wider. Taking dated photos makes it easier to see whether a crack is changing.

Is every crack dangerous?

Not every crack is a structural problem. Thin cracks may only allow water in, while wide, stepped, displaced or growing cracks need closer review. When structural movement is suspected, a structural engineer should assess the condition before repair.

How is a leaking crack repaired?

Many leaking cracks in poured concrete can be repaired from the inside by injection. The right method depends on the crack, the wall and the cause of the water. A site visit is needed before recommending a repair.
